For the initial setup, use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the lid-handle screws, then secure the handle on the outside of the lid. Clean the chosen plate with a soft sponge and mild dishwashing detergent, rinse it well, and dry it thoroughly. Position the appliance at least 20 cm from walls and corners, install the preferred plate, plug it into an AC100V power supply, and choose one of the four temperature levels. The plates heat up considerably during operation, so use caution to help prevent burns.

Let the plates cool completely after cooking before beginning cleanup. Wash them using a soft sponge and mild dishwashing detergent, rinse thoroughly, and dry completely. Do not touch hot plates directly, and put the appliance and accessories away only once they are clean and dry.
